Founder HARPER & JAMES
Sara graduated from the University of Missouri and served as the Director of Development at ReStart, Inc., a place for people experiencing homelessness in Kansas City, Missouri. From there, Sara joined Lockton Companies where she worked for more than 13 years as the Director of Communication and Community Relations. While at Lockton, Sara participated in civic and philanthropic organizations as a volunteer like the American Heart Association in memory of her father, Lead to Read and GenKC through the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
Sara recently founded Harper & James, an event planning company with a former colleague. As a female-owned business, they are focused on creating exceptional experiences in Kansas City and beyond. Most importantly, Sara is a proud wife and mom of two young children.
