The Do More Good Movement is supporting the work of Tony Goins and Robert Blackwell Jr. to educate and inspire Nebraska business leaders to take action on economic inclusion for black residents across the state.

Together we can create change. By donating, you are directly impacting the lives and opportunities of Black owned businesses, educating Nebraska businesses, growing the Black professional workforce, and allocating more working capital to Black entrepreneurs.

Together, we are creating an action plan with several initiatives, including:

Establish an online resource that will make it easy to search and find Black owned businesses in Nebraska. The Facebook pages that currently exist for Lincoln and Omaha, while well intended, are not functional directories.

Educate Nebraska businesses to evaluate their vendor practices to be more intentional about doing business with qualified Black owned businesses.

Review hiring practices to add more Black people to the professional workforce. Start recruiting from historically Black colleges and universities. Nebraska has a wonderful value proposition and we need to tell/sell our story. Tony already has relationships with several HBCU’s.

Increase Black participation in business leadership roles, including the C-Suite and boards of directors.

Use data to help tell the story that diversity in an organization is not an emotional, “Nebraska-nice” decision; it is an economic initiative that will drive revenue and profitability.

Allocate capital to Black entrepreneurs to assist them with starting businesses.

Recruit Black owned tech firms from Atlanta and other hubs of Black enterprise to open offices in Nebraska.
