Founder and CEO BLOOM GROWTH
Clay Upton began turning the world on its ear while still in high school by creating a regional dynasty in the Science Olympiad Championships and helping to build a Quantum Break Junction—one of the most precise instruments on the planet.
After accepting a full-ride scholarship to attend an elite interdisciplinary software and business program, where he studied mathematics, computer science and physics,
he gained national acclaim as an Edelman Laureate for Predictive Cloud Computing with Big Data. Clay owns three patents, has been published in national science and technology publications and invented a time-series algorithm for estimating the future evolution of curves. In his spare time, he is trying to save the planet, is an earnest student of philosophy and is earning his private pilot’s license. As an entrepreneur, Clay has founded six companies including Bloom Growth, which he leads as CEO today.
