Technology Innovation Librarian NEBRASKA LIBRARY COMMISSION
Amanda Sweet is the Technology Innovation Librarian for the Nebraska Library Commission where she helps communities leverage technology to solve the biggest problems in the world. She maps ecosystems to uncover organizations that are tackling everything from wildfires to food access, and works with stakeholders to identify unmet needs that are ripe for innovation.
Communities can use her curated information resources, tech guides, and consultation services to match old problems with new technology solutions to drive positive innovation. She is a frequent conference speaker on Industry 4.0 technologies, Sustainable Development Goals, and collective impact for social change. Sweet has a BA in English from Carleton College, a Masters in Library Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and received the Excellence in Leadership Award through the State of Nebraska in 2022.
